The Concept

Colors is a poetic, illustrative journey that explores the beauty of life, connection, and the lasting impact we have on one another. The story follows a simple dash of color as it wanders through the world. With every new encounter, it exchanges color spots, leaving a part of itself with others and carrying a part of them forward. The path it walks becomes a vibrant painting—a testament to a life lived.

The Creative Vision

Our role was to bring this profound story to life through both illustration and book design. The artistic style is intentionally gentle and minimalist, allowing the emotional weight of the narrative to shine. As the dash of color travels, the pages become progressively more vibrant, visually representing a life enriched by connection.

In a key design choice, we purposefully left a blank two-page spread near the end of the book. This interactive pause invites the reader to reflect and metaphorically "leave their own colors behind" on the page, becoming a part of the story themselves.

The Purpose

The final book is a gentle and moving meditation on life, loss, and legacy. It was created as a supportive tool for those navigating difficult times—particularly for individuals and families facing incurable illness. It offers a beautiful way to discuss how we all matter and the indelible, colourful mark we leave behind in the lives we've touched. It is a story of a life becoming art.
