The Goal
Our task was to create a complete visual package for the modern romance novel, Ewiger Fussabdruck. The design needed to capture the story's core themes: an intense, undeniable connection, the bittersweet reality of long-distance love, and the lasting "footprint" a person can leave on your life, even after the story ends. The overall feel had to be tender, modern, and sophisticated.
Our Design Solution
We developed a visual identity for the book that was deeply tied to its emotional narrative:
The Cover: We crafted a minimalist line drawing that depicts a moment of quiet intimacy—a man kissing a woman's forehead. This captures the tenderness of the relationship at its peak. A single, embossed gold foil footprint is placed on the cover, a direct nod to the title and the central metaphor of a love that leaves an eternal mark, like a footprint in the sand.
The Interior & Ebook: The interior layout was designed for an immersive and comfortable reading experience. We chose a clean, modern typography that complements the story's contemporary setting and emotional depth. This same attention to detail was applied to the ebook version, which was expertly formatted for flawless performance and readability across all digital platforms.
The Result
The final product is a beautifully cohesive book where the design and the narrative work in perfect harmony. The cover visually communicates the bittersweet and tender nature of the story, attracting the right audience, while the clean interior provides an elegant reading experience for a story that is both heartbreaking and beautiful.
