Austria
It all began in 2019, in a picturesque village called Anger, Austria. Despite its name, "Anger" in old German simply means "a small garden"—a fitting start for a creative seed to be planted. It was here that our founders, Anna and Aftab, launched Urban Pilgrim Creators, producing distinct visual work for clients like the Styrian Summer Art festival, Permed, and Palais Media.
Canada
In 2022, the pilgrimage continued. Anna and Aftab relocated to Ontario, bringing the Urban Pilgrim Creators ethos—and our symbolic camel—with them. Canada offered a new landscape for exploration and a new community to build.
Expansion
Here, the company became officially Canadian, the team expanded, first joining forces with the creative talents of Sobia and Ashfaq, and later, Alina.
Success
This new, international combination of skills and perspectives quickly proved to be award-winning. The team's first collaborative short film, "The Heart Smiles," earned accolades, cementing the synergy and shared vision of the expanded group.
Today
Today, from our home bases in Ottawa and Kitchener, Urban Pilgrim Creators continues its journey across Ontario and beyond. We are a collective of storytellers and artists from diverse backgrounds, united by the belief that every brand has a pilgrimage and every project is a new world to explore.
